Din amintiri . Planoarele acestea ,faceau parte din Luftflote 4 .Trebuiau sa mentina un "pod aerian " menit sa sustina aprovizionarea garnizoanei incercuite din capitala ungara .Din cate tin minte, pilotii acestora ,erau aproape niste copii (foarte curajosi si fanatici totodata ).Foloseau ca loc de aterizare parcul din vecinatatea "Castelului Buda"(?),sau strazile importante din oras ( ...ma rog...cand le "nimereau") .

Sursa missinglynx zice asa:
"The T28 "Superheavy Tank" is the heaviest armored vehicle ever produced by the United States ... about 95 tons. Designed
late in WW-II as an assault vehicle to penetrate fixed German defense positions such as the Siegfried Line, the T28 carries the
thickest armor ever fitted to an armored vehicle ... approx. 12" frontal and 8" side, some of it well sloped. This is more like
Battleship armor than tank armor! The German's famed 88 mm would be nearly worthless against such a vehicle. "

Pe http://www.hans-egebo.dk/ zice:
"........... a close-up of the so-called 'Depth Charge Modification XXX', to enable the Spitfire to transport a pair of containers with a beverage in great demand in Normandy. The Spitfire was not cleared for the full range of combat maneuvres while operating in this configuration....."

exista un link si catre o poza de ansamblu dar deocamdata nu merge.
